DUNGOG ARTS
SOCIETY GALLERY
Dungog Arts Society are preparing to hold the opening night of their annual Archies gallery. This year the theme is 'faces you may know'. The opening is set for Thursday, March 28 at 6pm. The closing date for the gallery is on Sunday, April 7. Dungog Arts Society gallery is located at 266 Dowling Street. Entry for arts society members is $25, non-members is $35 and youth enter for free.
GROWER'S STALL
DOWLING STREET
From 8.30am to 12pm every Saturday, visit the CWA Hall courtyard at 199 Dowling Street, Dungog for the Grower's Stall. There will be fresh produce from local farmers, market gardeners and backyard growers. It is cash only.
ART WORKSHOP
UNITING CHURCH HALL
Under the tutelage of local artist Sharon Barker, participants will delve into the captivating world of watercolour painting. Focusing on animal themes, this workshop is ideal for beginners and will cover essential techniques like brushwork, colour manipulation and composition. The workshop will take place on Saturday, March 16 starting at 10am at the Uniting Church Hall (246 Dowling Street).
LIVE MUSIC
THE ROYAL HOTEL
See a special duo performance of Flamenco guitar and Kurdish Flute. Damian Wright recently released his debut album "Shifting Sands" (ABC Music) which was The Sydney Morning Heralds 'Album of the week'. The show will take place at the Royal Hotel on March, 22, kicking off at 7.30pm.
DUNGOG RODEO
SHOWGROUND
The Dungog Rodeo is set to return with the regular thrills and spills. The Rodeo is held on Easter weekend of every year. To keep up to date on the event visit its Facebook page for more details.

THE ROYAL HOTEL
Martha Spencer and Jackson Cunningham have travelled from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, USA, set to play guitar, fiddle, banjo and mandolin. The show is set for 5pm on Sunday, March 17. Tickets are $25.
FORUM
CLARENCE TOWN
The Dungog and District Chamber of Commerce have organised a forum aimed at discussing and supporting the engagement of Dungog's youth. This comes after the chamber noticed youth disengagement in the Shire was resulting in vandalism and anti-social behaviour. The Chamber of Commerce hopes to spark interest in the issue and bring forward ideas on how to address it. The forum will start at 6.30pm at the Clarence Town Bowling Club. All are welcome.
SUNFLOWERS
TOCAL HOMESTEAD
Tocal Homestead are hosting their first sunflower picking event on Sunday, March 3. Photos with sunflowers are free however picking them will be $5 a stem with a limit of 10 stems per person. The day is set to start at 9.45am. The homestead will be open for its usual audio tour and devonshire teas. A sausage sizzle and cold drinks will also be available for purchase.
