Men's Shed member Steve Jones has repurposed a display table from the old library and turned it into a beautiful new display cabinet.
"[I received] a picture, no dimensions, no nothing. All I had was a picture to go off... everything was worked out in my head," Mr Jones said.
"It's got the original drawers, it's made out of the same timber."
"I've still got parts of the original cabinet so if they want another one done, i'll do it."

This repurposing was the first time that Mr Jones had ever made a display cabinet and it came with a few challenges. Usually, Mr Jones makes smaller projects. Working on this larger, more unique cabinet meant that he stepped out of his comfort zone, an experience he described as 'interesting'.
"[Working on the cabinet was] interesting, particularly when you're working with second hand timber," he said.
Dungog Men's Shed and Mr Jones do these community projects a lot and only ever charge for the cost of materials.
